Bio

        My name is Paul Jacala. I'm passionate about God, philosophy, people, and the arts. I am a musician and aspiring photographer, but I have always been a writer.

        I was born in New York state, have lived in Southern Germany, but have lived most of my life in the South, Virginia and South Carolina. I love to travel and play guitar. I enjoy good stories and spending time with people.

        My desire is to use photography and writing to change the way that people look at the world. I want to provide a perspective that faces upward, that looks deep into the heart, and that magnifies the fine details of our surroundings. With all of the chaos and confusion in the world, I know we all seek truth, solid affirmation, and a sounding board. My hope is that in all that I do I can be light to those who are searching, a voice for the broken and misrepresented, and an advocate for things that are good. I believe my view is just one angle in this big picture that is Life, but one that can change the way we go about our days. I am a conversationalist...someone with strong convictions and that has much to say, but also someone that wants to listen to and understand with an open mind the views and experiences of others.
